Daily Tasks

Each day I am going to be posting a daily task for getting the home neat and tidy, clean and decluttered and of course -ORGANISED! Each task will take between 5 and 15 minutes with the occasional one lasting up to an hour. But it's really up to you how long you want to take doing each task.

Ok so I didn't get round to posting this at the start of the month as I was still putting it together. But just incase anyone wanted the daily tasks back-dating here they are:

#1 Thursday January 1st 2015
Take out -recycle Christmas boxes and paper.

#2 Friday January 2nd 2015
Throw out of date food out.

#3 Saturday January 3rd 2015
Defrost the freezer.
(Tip: don't forget to empty first. I've found using a hair dryer on a low temp helps speed up the process.)

#4 Sunday January 4th 2015
Sweep/hoover the kitchen floor.

#5 Monday January 5th 2015
Mop the kitchen floor.
(Tip:If you have a wooden or laminate floor don't use too much liquid on your mop.)

#6 Tuesday January 6th 2015
Organise and clean inside the kitchen non-food cupboards.

#7 Wednesday January 7th 2015
Wipe down the washer and remove any hair from the inside door.

#8 Thursday January 8th 2015
Wipe down kitchen counters.

#9 Friday January 9th 2015
Clean all kitchen handles with anti-bacterial spray.

#10 Saturday January 10th 2015
Wipe down inside the fridge.
(Tip: use natural cleaning agents such as lemon juice in warm water, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in warm water instead of harsh chemicals that will cling to foods when you put them back.)

#11 Sunday January 11th 2015
Clean inside the oven.

#12 Monday January 12th 2015
Scrub the kitchen sink and taps.
(Tip: soak paper towels in white vinegar and wrap around taps (leave to soak) to remove water spots and minerals.)

#13 Tuesday January 13th 2015
Clean out the under sink cupboard.

#14 Wednesday January 14th 2015
Clean the hob.

#15 Thursday January 15th 2015
Clean the microwave inside and out.
(Tip: add lemon juice to a bowl of luke warm water and put it in the micorwave on full power for 60 seconds, it will loosen the grime.)

#16 Friday January 16th 2015
Clean out the kitchen 'junk' drawer.

#17 Saturday January 17th 2015
Clean the small appliances in the kitchen -toaster/kettle etc.
(Tip: after cleaning the kettle boil a full kettle and pour away to get rid of any cleaner residue.)

#18 Sunday January 18th 2015
Wipe down the cupboard fronts in the kitchen.

#19 Monday January 19th 2015
Recycle post & paperwork that's no longer needed and lurking about in the kitchen.
(Tip: remove any personal info (addresses etc) before putting in the recycling bin, and shred. (If you don't have a shredder put address bits in a sandwich bag and add washing up liquid, this will destroy the information.)

#20 Tuesday January 20th 2015
Declutter the bits of paper that are attached to the fridge magnets.

#21 Wednesday January 21st 2015
Wipe down the dishwasher exterior.

#22 Thursday January 22nd 2015
